Vote like your country depends on it

Today is election day. This is it. We must repudiate the Democrats’ insanity. Because if the words “Speaker Pelosi” don’t scare you, nothing will.

Take it from Sarah Hoyt:

Nobody knows anything, but dear LORD.  Even if you hate your local GOP knucklehead, even if he is a RINO loser…. do you want Nancy “Grey Goose” Pelosi in charge of the House again?  Do you want those idiots on the left to think — as they have since they successfully demonized the squishy GWB — that they need to keep turning up the insanity and drama and lies? They’re already too crazy. Worse, do you want them to enact their contract on America, from higher taxes to throttling our energy production? Are you NOSTALGIC for the Obama years?

I for one would like a chance to dig myself out of the financial hole those years left me in.

Vote for your local Republican knucklehead. Even if you’d like someone better.  You go to war with the underwear you got on.  Vote against the democrat lunatics. It’s important.

Vote RED. The alternative is more Alexandria Occasional-Cortex.

Rep. Al Green (D-TX) is the gift that keeps on giving

As we wend our way to the 2018 midterm election, one thing is clear. A significant subset of the Democratic Party is batshit insane.

A Democratic lawmaker who has tirelessly campaigned for President Trump’s impeachment blasted House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi on Monday for undermining his effort.

Pelosi, in an interview with The Dallas Morning News, had said she wishes Democrats like Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, would not make impeaching Trump a rallying cry.

“We have elections,” she said. “Go vote if it’s a policy thing and a behavior thing. I don’t know if you can get impeached for being a jerk, but if we did, this guy would be long gone. But that’s not unifying.”

But Green, who has spearheaded the push to impeach Trump, criticized Pelosi, saying that reducing Trump to a jerk “trivializes the impact of his bigoted policies on Jews, Latinos, African-Americans, women and the LGBTQ community.”

Oh please Democrats. Please run on a platform of impeaching President Trump. Please!

I mean, it’s not like his “bigoted policies” on Jews hasn’t fostered the opening of our US Embassy in Jerusalem, and a strengthening of the US – Israel alliance, right?

Or, his “bigoted policies” on Latinos and African-Americans haven’t created more jobs for both groups than any president ever. In fact the economy is booming, except perhaps in places reflexively ruled by Democrats (yeah, I’m looking at you Seattle, and sadly, New Jersey).

And he’s so bigoted against women that he’s got more of them in high-level White House positions than any previous administration. Oh, right, he whooped Felonia Milhous von Pantsuit’s ass. Oops. Sorry, not sorry.

As for “the LGBTQ community” Congressman, Ric Grenell is on line 1, and Peter Thiel would like a word too.

Sheesh. It’s like this guy doesn’t inhabit the Real World.

Then again, in the fever swamps of NJ Democrats (alas, I don’t know much about Texas Democrats) he’s mainstream. I hear people talking impeachment All The Time. It’s their Holy Grail. The NJ.com and Baristanet comment boards are full of keyboard warriors eager to opine on how Robert Mueller’s latest fizzled “bombshell” is guaranteed to bring Trump frog-marched into the dock. They hate Donald Trump with a visceral passion, and they’re not afraid to tell us, repeatedly.

Earlier this month, Pelosi told Politico that impeachment was popular in her district.

See, what did I say?

Mikie Sherrill’s minions are gung-ho for impeachment too. They see Russians under every bed Trump sleeps in. Of course they failed see the actual Russian spies who lived for decades in her Montclair neighborhood so I’m skeptical about their newfound Rooskie Radar, but hey, whatever keeps them warm at night. And when they’re not beating the impeachment drum they’re marching for gun confiscation so you can be sure the crazy runs deep around her campaign.

Which of course is Good News for Jay Webber, and Steve Lonegan too. That Blue Wave is looking more and more like a ripple, if that, meaning that as long as the Al Green Wing keeps talking Nancy Pelosi’s chances of grabbing the gavel keep diminishing. God Bless America.

House Democrats disenfranchise pregnant Iraq war veteran congresswoman #WarOnWomen

If Democrats didn’t have double standards, they’d have no standards at all.

Every vote counts! Unless it’s a vote Nancy Pelosi doesn’t like.

Rep. Tammy Duckworth of Illinois, who is expecting a baby in December, is being denied a request to vote by proxy in the House Democratic Caucus leadership and committee member elections next week—even though her doctor advises she can’t travel to Washington in the late stages of her pregnancy.

The Iraq War veteran, who lost both legs when her helicopter was shot down in 2004, made the request in a letter to fellow Democrats. Her letter was read during a closed-door Democratic Caucus meeting on Thursday. But objections were raised, and the request was denied, with opponents including Democratic Steering and Police Committee cochair Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

Why did Pelosi object to Congresswoman Duckworth’s perfectly reasonable request?

None of the caucus’s top leaders, including Pelosi, are being directly challenged in their bids to reclaim their posts. But both Rep. Anna Eshoo of California, who is backed by Pelosi for the Energy Committee ranking member’s seat, and Rep. Frank Pallone of New Jersey, who is backed by Minority Whip Steny Hoyer, are battling to convince a majority of House Democrats to vote for them.

Duckworth is among those who have thrown her support behind Pallone—against Pelosi’s choice of Eshoo.

Sorry Congresswoman. Your vote isn’t important, because you aren’t voting the way the leadership wants.

The only thing they care about is power. If you’re in their way, they don’t care about you.

Excommunicate Nancy Pelosi!

Father Frank Pavone pulls no punches when it comes to San Fran Nan and her “sacred” sacrament of abortion.

In an open letter, Fr. Frank Pavone, national director for Priests for Life, a pro-life organization, made known his discontent with Pelosi’s most recent comments about abortion.

“Last Thursday, June 13, you were asked a question in a press briefing that you declined to answer. The question was, ‘What is the moral difference between what Dr. Gosnell did to a baby born alive at 23 weeks and aborting her moments before birth?,’” Pavone wrote. “Instead of even attempting to answer the question, you resorted to judgmental ad hominem attacks on the reporter who asked it, saying, ‘You obviously have an agenda. You’re not interested in having an answer.’”

The priest said, though, that it is Pelosi’s stance on the matter that is problematic, as she isn’t interested in “giving an answer.”

But that wasn’t the harshest of his rebukes. Pavone went on to charge that Pelosi made a “mockery of the Catholic faith” during the press conference and that she offended millions of Americans who follow church doctrine. Here, he was referring to her claim to be a “practicing and respectful Catholic” who believes that the abortion discussion is “sacred ground.”

“You speak here of Catholic faith as if it is supposed to hide us from reality instead of lead us to face reality, as if it is supposed to confuse basic moral truths instead of clarify them, and as if it is supposed to help us escape the hard moral questions of life rather than help us confront them,” he continued.

“Whatever Catholic faith you claim to respect and practice, it is not the faith that the Catholic Church teaches. And I speak for countless Catholics when I say that it’s time for you to stop speaking as if it were,” added the priest.

Too many American “catholic” (yes, small-c) politicians openly flout Church teachings on abortion, gay “marriage,” and contraception. It is time for the Holy See to kick some butt. Excommunicate Nancy Pelosi. Because abortion is never “sacred.” Never.
