Stuck in traffic due to Bridge-Gate? That’s a class action lawsuit!

Surprisingly, Gloria Allred isn’t the idiot behind this particular exercise in lawfare. That honor goes to a lawyer named Rosemarie Arnold. Apparently her clients were “late for work.” Oh, and “panic attacks” ensued.

Six New Jersey residents have filed a federal lawsuit against Gov. Chris Christie, the state of New Jersey, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and others over traffic jams in September.

The plaintiffs want it certified as a class action.

Lawyer Rosemarie Arnold says she filed it after learning this week that lane closures on an approach to the George Washington Bridge were “deliberate actions.” She says that her clients were late for work and that one suffered a panic attack.

You know what this country needs? Loser pays. Because Rosemarie Arnold is sure to suffer a “panic attack” if she has to reimburse the taxpayers for this waste of time.

  1. There really ought to be a consequence for bringing lame-o cases like this into a court of law. Petty political retributions are petty. Lawyers who troll around for instances like this to exploit are moreso.
